Rick Smith’s Understanding of the Requirements for Business Growth Led him to Add John Bell to Securus Technologies’ Sales Team

Sales Team Addition

Securus Technologies has continued to invest heavily in innovation. The last couple of years have seen the company inject $600M developing and purchasing new products. So far, Securus Technologies prides in more than 800 products under its sleeves. Such huge catalog calls for a highly-qualified person who can create a strong sales and marketing teams. This development led the firm to hire John Bell as the senior VP of Sales in December 2015. John has an experience of over 35 years in developing impactful sales team that drive business growth. He has previously worked for a leading companies such as IBM, AT&T, Verizon, NTT Verio, and Time Warner Cable. John is a former student at the Wharton School of Business, Holy cross, and the Kellogg School of Management.Upon his appointment, John Bell assumed the responsibility of overseeing the firm’s sales team. The team comprises of 100 salespeople, 60 of which are quota-carrying associates. John was appointed to complement Josh Conklin, the Sales Vice President, in the achievements that he had recorded with the team. Though Josh answers to John, the expectations were for the two to work hand in hand to achieve the set goals. Their main focus was to ensure that as many people and industry stakeholders understood the company’s products. They were expected to make it happen by increasing products presentations and face-face visits as well as designing a training program for sales associates.
