Robert Ivy is one of the leading figures in the world of architecture for his many contributions to the industry over the years. As far as architects go, there are few that have won as many awards as Robert Ivy, especially considering his recent acquisition of the Noel Polk Lifetime Achievement Award. This award is only issued by the Mississippi Institute of Letters and Art to natives of the Mississippi area and represents individuals who have made a large impact to the community and the fields of performance and art. Despite being the only architect to ever win the award, since it is typically given out to artists and performers, the director for MIAL stated that Robert Ivy’s contributions to architecture through practical application and publications was a thing to be honored. Robert’s colleagues are more than impressed with Robert’s accomplishment and it means nothing but good things for his current company, the American Institute of Architects. Since Robert first joined the team at AIA back in 2011, he has worked double time in order to improve the company and architecture as a whole. Before Robert Ivy found the institute, he was working at McGraw Hills on the architectural record as a chief editor. Through thee publications, Robert Ivy was able to build his reputation as well as his own knowledge in order to influence the architectural field and inspire many new architects to join in as well.
